A Treasure Chest of Additional Living Space.

The basement can be a treasure chest of additional living space. Whether you’re converting the basement into a rental unit or giving your family extra space, you want a basement that suits your needs.

Before you start your renovation project,  you must consider function.

If you want to use for a playroom for your children, consider a room with a lot of lighting and soft floors made from carpets or playmats. For a basement apartment or a guest bedroom, laminate or engineered hardwood flooring will be more practical and add warmth to the space.

Basements are typically dark, so installing proper lighting is extremely important. Make sure you ask your contractor or electrician check that you have enough height above the ceiling to accommodate the installation.
